This Thuasne sports ankle brace is designed to restore confidence in your ankle. After a sprain, partially torn ligaments, or even a complete ligament rupture, the ankle can become swollen and sensitive. Walking may be difficult or even impossible. The rigid stays integrated into the Thuasne sports ankle brace stabilize and support the ankle joint. As a result, the ankle ligaments are prevented from reaching their end range of motion and being overloaded unintentionally. This allows the affected structures to recover properly.

The stays are secured around the ankle joint using a BOA closure system. This closure is commonly used in ski and cycling shoes and enables you to tighten the ankle brace quickly and precisely. The additional strap provides extra lateral stability.

Sizing – Thuasne Sport Ankle Brace BOA

It is important to order the correct size. Measure the circumference of your ankle by placing a measuring tape around the narrowest part of your lower leg. If you do not have a measuring tape available, you can use a shoelace and measure it against a ruler afterwards.

Tips

• Did you know? It is best to close the Velcro straps after use. This helps keep the fabric in good condition and extends the lifespan of the Velcro.
• For optimal comfort, it is recommended to wear a sports sock underneath the ankle brace. This can also improve the fit.
• The ankle brace can also be worn preventively after completing your rehabilitation period to help reduce the risk of re-injury. Prevention is better than cure.
