An elbow bandage provides compression to the elbow and surrounding muscles. This gives a stabilizing effect on and around the elbow. This can have an antalgic (analgesic) effect. There are also bandages to minimize the movement of your elbow or the fiber direction of the muscles to reduce pain symptoms. For example with a tennis or golf player arm.
Below you will find a selection of our elbow bandages, which we have already successfully applied in practice. ProBrace has contact with various suppliers at home and abroad.

Although it has not been proven that a brace or bandage is effective in treating tennis elbow, many people report experiencing a significant reduction in pain complaints. Tennis elbow is best treated by eccentric exercises under the guidance of a physiotherapist. Taking a long rest will unfortunately have little effect. This is because the fibers are criss-cross at the muscle attachment, the body has to convert this again into fibers that run in the right direction. This means dosed movement so that the fibers can form in the direction of the load. An elbow bandage can make these exercises more bearable and easier to perform. You can also wear a tennis elbow bandage to relieve the complaints in daily life. It has now been demonstrated that a bandage has pain-relieving effects due to its pressure on the pain location.
Different types of elbow bandages are possible. When you choose an elbow bandage, it is wise to determine for yourself what the purpose of your elbow bandage is. Do you want to stabilize, protect or restrict the elbow in the range of motion. For example, you can use an elbow bandage for:
Elbow bandages can be made of cotton, elastic, but also, for example, neoprene. Neoprene braces, for example, are extremely suitable for use in wet environments. For example, kite surfers and windsurfers can benefit greatly from a neoprene elbow bandage with an overloaded elbow. Cotton elbow bandages are known to breathe better and are therefore better suited for daily use or for heavier physical activities because the cotton has better moisture-regulating properties.
If it is difficult to make a choice or if you are unsure about a certain size / property of an elbow bandage, it is best to contact a physiotherapist or product specialist from ProBrace. This is entirely without obligation and does not commit you to anything! You can also get advice without obligation at one of our meeting locations in Bergambacht or Rijswijk, but we ask you to request this by telephone in advance.
