What is a hand bandage?
A hand bandage is an elastic support designed to stabilise the hand without completely restricting movement. By applying gentle compression, it supports the muscles, tendons, and joints while allowing the hand to remain largely mobile.
Unlike a hand brace, a hand bandage usually does not contain rigid splints or stays. This makes it particularly suitable for mild to moderate complaints, everyday activities, or preventive use during work or sports.
A hand bandage can help improve stability, reduce discomfort, and increase comfort during movement.

When should you choose a hand bandage?
A hand bandage is ideal when you need additional support without fully immobilising the hand. For mild overuse injuries, early-stage osteoarthritis, or rheumatoid conditions, a hand bandage can provide sufficient stability while allowing you to continue your daily activities.
For more severe instability, fractures, or injuries that require the hand to be immobilised, a hand brace is often the better option. If you are unsure which product is most suitable, we are happy to help you make the right choice.
