Bandage shoes reduce the load on and around the foot and promote healing on and around the foot with various pressure-sensitive problems, or when you retain moisture. The bandage shoes can be used, for example, in:
ProBrace supplies and advises only branded shoes of the well-known brand Pulman. The bandage shoes are available in a regular fit or an extra wide fit (Xtra). This Xtra wide fit is particularly suitable for bandaged feet. Thanks to the warm lining and wear-resistant lightweight rubber sole, these bandage shoes are also suitable for outdoor use.
The bandage shoes are easy to wash at 40 degrees in the washing machine, the shoes also come with an EPS (styrofoam) last to keep the shoes in shape while drying.
Dressing shoes are covered by your basic insurance (2017). The amount of the reimbursement may differ per insurance and can be found in your policy conditions. If the costs of the dressing shoes are higher than your reimbursement, you will have to pay the difference yourself. You do not have to pay an additional statutory personal contribution for bandage shoes, but bandage shoes are first deducted from your deductible (€ 385).
If you have already paid your deductible and the costs of the bandage shoes fall within the amount insured by you, there are no additional costs. To be eligible for reimbursement you must have a referral from your treating art. It must clearly describe the nature of the condition.
