TurboMed XTERN Shoe Attachment – Easily switch your foot drop brace between shoes

The TurboMed XTERN Lace Clip shoe attachment is a separately available accessory for all TurboMed XTERN EVO ankle-foot orthoses (AFOs), including the SUMMIT, FRONTIER, and CLASSIC models. This clip allows you to quickly and easily transfer the EVO foot drop brace from one shoe to another, significantly simplifying daily use. Without the Lace Clip, the XTERN EVO must be manually attached to each shoe, which takes time and requires precise alignment. With the Lace Clip, the attachment remains permanently fixed to the shoe, allowing the brace to be clicked into place in one smooth motion. This makes switching between different shoes faster and more consistent.

The clip also provides a firm and reliable fixation, ensuring that the EVO remains stable during walking or standing. This prevents shifting or loosening and offers greater control and stability with every step. Size advice for the TurboMed foot drop brace shoe attachment

The Lace Clip is available in size medium/large and is suitable for all adult TurboMed XTERN EVO braces in size medium or large. Not suitable for small or pediatric sizes.

How to attach the Lace Clip to your shoe

1. Hook the Lace Clip onto the front of your XTERN brace. This immediately determines the correct position on the shoe.
2. Place the brace on the shoe and check that the Lace Clip is positioned near a set of lace eyelets.
3. Insert two zip ties through the front openings of the Lace Clip.
4. Guide the zip ties through the shoe’s lace eyelets. Note: never attach them around the laces.
5. Lock the zip ties into the fastening mechanism at the back of the Lace Clip.
6. Tighten both zip ties as firmly as possible to keep the Lace Clip securely in place.
7. Check the attachment by firmly pulling on the Lace Clip. It should not move or come loose.
8. Cut off the excess ends of the zip ties for a clean finish.
