Bauerfeind SecuTec Genu – Stability and pain relief for severe knee pain!
Cruciate ligament ruptures, collateral ligament injuries, or meniscus surgery sometimes require the knee joint to be stabilized from the outside for a period of time. The SecuTec® Genu is a light but stable knee brace. The narrow aluminum frame is anatomically shaped, flat and fits comfortably.
Thanks to the hinges and the aluminum frame, the lateral and fore-aft instabilities are absorbed! 4 thin Velcro straps on the back ensure that the brace can be fixed and can be easily put on and taken off. On the front there are respectively 1 or 2 Velcro straps for support in case of an anterior or posterior cruciate ligament rupture.
Indication settings for the SecuTec Genu
- Instability due to rupture of the anterior and/or posterior cruciate ligament (ACL/PCL)
- After band operations / band plastic
- Complex instability (traumatic or degenerative)
- To limit the range of motion of the knee joint (e.g. after injury of the collateral ligaments, suture or replacement of a meniscus)
- Conservative and postoperative therapy after kneecap fracture

How to Determine the Size of the SecuTec Genu Knee Brace
You can easily determine the correct size by measuring the circumference of your thigh 17 cm above the knee joint and your lower leg 15 cm below the knee. You can find the correct size in the table below. The SecuTec Genu is available in both left and right versions.
