Bauerfeind GenuTrain with Silicone Border for Extra Grip

The Bauerfeind GenuTrain Knee Brace with Silicone Border is technically identical to the standard Bauerfeind GenuTrain® Knee Brace. The difference is in the upper edge: this version features a silicone border on the inside. This additional silicone strip provides extra grip on the skin and helps prevent the brace from slipping down during wear. This version is also available at the same price as the standard GenuTrain.

The GenuTrain® is made from an anatomically shaped, elastic and breathable knitted fabric that fits comfortably around the knee. A viscoelastic Omega pad is integrated around the kneecap. This pad supports the patella and features two integrated Hoffa pads, which provide additional pressure and a gentle massaging effect around the patellar tendon.

During movement, the combination of compression and the Omega pad provides a gentle massaging effect around the knee joint. This may help stimulate circulation, reduce swelling and relieve pain. As a result, the Bauerfeind GenuTrain with silicone border is suitable for various mild to moderate knee complaints, overuse and during recovery after an injury. The knee brace combines support with a high degree of freedom of movement.

How to measure the Bauerfeind GenuTrain Knee Brace with Silicone Border

To fully benefit from the GenuTrain, choosing the correct size is important. To ensure an even better fit, the GenuTrain is now also available in “Comfort sizes”. This is especially recommended for conical thighs (when the thigh is relatively larger compared to the calf). The GenuTrain S is available in both a left and right version.

To select the correct GenuTrain size you need to measure two circumferences:

1. Calf circumference 12 cm below the knee joint line (usually the thickest part of your calf)
2. Thigh circumference 14 cm above the knee joint line (approximately halfway up the thigh)

Washing and care instructions

To preserve the quality and effectiveness of your Bauerfeind GenuTrain for as long as possible, we recommend following the washing and care instructions below:

- Do not bleach: do not use bleaching agents, as these may damage the material.
- Do not iron: the GenuTrain is not suitable for ironing.
- Do not dry clean: do not have the knee support professionally or chemically cleaned.

Wash at a maximum of 30 °C: gently wash the knee support at a maximum temperature of 30 °C, preferably using a mild detergent without fabric softener.

Allow the GenuTrain to air-dry after washing. Do not use a tumble dryer or place it near a direct heat source, as this may affect its fit, elasticity and supportive properties.
