Plantar Fasciitis / Achilles Tendon Night Splint – One size (shoe size 35 to 44)

This night splint is highly suitable for the treatment of plantar fasciitis, heel spur and Achilles tendinitis (Achilles tendon inflammation). The splint keeps the foot in a controlled position during the night, applying a constant and gentle stretch to the plantar fascia and Achilles tendon. This helps reduce shortening of the soft tissue during the night.

Function of the night splint

The night splint comfortably supports the foot in a controlled amount of dorsiflexion. This applies a Low Load Prolonged Stretch (LLPS) to the soft tissue of the plantar fascia and Achilles tendon.

The orthosis may help break the cycle of injury, pain and re-injury by limiting contraction of the soft tissues during the night.

Massage ball

The massage ball is intentionally firm and hard. The nodules on the ball are designed to gently stimulate the underlying tissue and tendon. This stimulation may help support the body’s natural recovery process locally.

For use, place your foot on the ball while seated and gently roll over the sensitive or painful area. It is not intended to apply excessive pressure or to stand on the ball with your full body weight.

I ordered this. Is it supposed to be more painful at first? Or am I wearing it the wrong way? Is there a video somewhere? The explanation in the pictures is incredibly brief (and it’s a different brace).

  2. Roos Markslag (verified owner)

I just got it and I’d like to see some more instructions. I’m not sure if I’ll wear it properly.
I can’t comment on it yet, so I can’t rate it.

  3. Axel (verified owner)

I tried it for three nights and took it off after a few hours each night.
It’s a choice between two evils: either it’s too loose, so there’s no tension on the tendon/muscle in question, or to create enough tension, it has to be so tight around the foot and calf that it pinches, causing pain and tingling.

This is likely because the metal pin is at the top, and a soft material has to transmit the stiffness to the bottom of the foot. This is only possible if you tighten the elastics, which leads to pinching. The short lever towards the shin/calf doesn’t help with that.

  4. Inge (verified owner)

I think I’m doing something wrong, because I can’t feel any stretch in my foot, and the splint is already set at a 90-degree angle. Or is it normal that I don’t feel anything? Who can help me?

  5. m.gijsen (verified owner)

Error on the website in the header up to 44 in the text up to 45. I have size 45 and it’s going well. I ordered two and received the aluminum strip in the brace the wrong way around in both cases. But this is easily fixed. It works. For me, it’s best not to fasten it too tightly around the foot; it’s better to make the angle of the strip a bit smaller. Otherwise, I get a lot of pain in my foot, and it pinches. For now, I can get up without pain. And I hope time and the brace will do their work for further recovery.

    Dear Kimberly,

In that case, first try making the brace angle less than 90 degrees. Only when you can wear the brace all night can you adjust the brace angle towards 90 degrees and begin treatment.

    Good luck!

  7. Kimberly Orsel (verified owner)

So far, not a really pleasant experience and I haven’t been able to sleep all night yet… I also don’t feel like I can get my foot “fixed” at the right angle.

  8. Marjan (verified owner)

I wear it with a sock underneath.

No more foot pain when I get up.
The pain during the day is significantly reduced.

  9. Rose (verified owner)

Does what it’s supposed to. Easy to set up. Not stuffy at night.

  10. Carla (verified owner)

    Good

  11. Karin (verified owner)

Really great!! I’ve been wearing this night splint for three weeks now, and my heel spur is practically gone! Simply fantastic!!
