This ankle / foot orthosis is a prefabricated night orthosis for the conservative / effective treatment of Plantar Fasciitis, Heel Spur and Achilles Tendonitis (inflammation of the Achilles tendon). The Ovation Hybrid Night Splint is a very comfortable and simple tool designed to comply with the principle of constant elongation in the treatment of, for example, heel spurs and / or plantar fasciitis.

Features and benefits of the Hybrid compact heel spur brace
The Hybrid night splint features a breathable cover with an open cell structure and a lightweight plastic construction to ensure wearing comfort. Thanks to the simple Velcro closure, the tool is easy to use. The Ovation Hybrid Night Splint is equipped with a hinge point and an adjustable strap on the shin. This allows the angle in which the ankle is located to be set between 70 and 100 degrees. The counterpart of the Hybrid night splint is the somewhat larger Heel Track Night splint.
Thanks to its compact design, this night splint is ideal for treating pain complaints on both sides by wearing two night splints at the same time during the night . Unlike the strassburger sock, the pressure is applied to the ball of the foot instead of the toes. The comfort has increased enormously.
In addition to wearing this splint during the night, it is recommended to wear soft gel soles or good arch supports during the day. We have also drawn up a number of good exercises in consultation with a physiotherapy practice, these are here download.

Tips
- Wear the night splint every night for several weeks for the best results. Build a noticeable stretch on the bottom of the foot when putting on.
- Product Feature: The Night Splint ™ comfortably supports the affected foot in a controlled amount of dorsal flexion, which applies a Low Load Prolonged Stretch (LLPS) to the soft tissues of the plantar fascia and Achilles tendon.

Great brace, relieves pain in my Achilles tendons.
Unfortunately, after months of use, the Velcro has worn off and the brace no longer stays in place.
Can I order new Velcro straps for my calf?

I’ve tried everything: podiatrist, shockwave, dry needling, etc., but the pain from my heel spur didn’t go away. Since I started using the night splint (for three weeks now), things have improved considerably, and I can even walk well in the morning. It’s not completely gone yet, but things are definitely improving now.

This night splint does indeed slip off during the night. The extra strap I ordered with it helps with that (but doesn’t prevent everything). I notice less pain when getting up, after almost two years of plantar fasciitis. However, I do get discomfort/pain in my toes because the night splint slips off during the night. Wearing the splint very loosely to prevent toe pain causes more slippage. That’s why I wear it for a few days and then take it off for a few days.

We’re sorry to hear you’re not satisfied with this product. This brace should not be compared to the Strassburger sock. It works completely differently because there’s no stretch to the toes. This actually resolves many of the complaints and discomforts of the Strassburger sock. A small group of people do experience slippage of the brace, and an additional accessory strap is available specifically for this purpose: Hybrid anti-migration strap

I don’t understand why people give this 5 stars. The brace slides off your foot easily, especially after a few movements. It can’t be tightened very tightly to get the right position like a Strassburg sock. It’s a shame the brace is quite expensive, because you’d expect something better. Definitely not recommended considering all the points mentioned above.

After three years of severe pain in my overloaded and inflamed plantar fascia, expensive shoes, insoles from the podiatrist, and dry needling through physiotherapy, I started wearing these braces. The first night, I took them off in my sleep. The second night was better, and after the third, I was already looking forward to putting them back on. I’ve heard a lot of different stories about wearing a night splint, but you’ll try anything to get rid of your complaint. I ordered it from probrace.nl anyway. Now that I’ve worn it for four nights, I’ve noticed that even taking my first steps out of bed is much easier. It’s a more comfortable product than the sock, which gave me pain near my big toe.
