Thuasne Silistab Achillo – Less pain with an Achilles tendon brace!
The Thuasne Silistab Achillo is an Achilles tendon brace specially designed for people with Achilles tendon complaints, for example after an overload or surgery. Thanks to the viscoelastic pads, the irritated area is massaged. Thanks to the very high knitting, the Thuasne Silistab Achillo is also very suitable for the higher Achilles tendon and calf injuries.
The Silistab Achillo comes with two silicone heel cushions that fit together for 3 different levels (5, 8 or 13 mm). As a result, the Achilles tendons are extra relieved without creating a leg length difference. See also the video below.

Ik had al een jaar of vier een achillespees blessure overgehouden aan een squashwedstrijd waarin ik, denk ik, een scheur in de pees opliep. Nooit laten opereren, maar het zeurde maar door, af en toe minder pijnlijk en some weer meer. Ik ontwikkelde een constante zwelling aan de zijkant van de pees en ik dacht dat het permanent litteken weefsel was. Omdat ik veel last bleef houden en de pijn niet wegging besloot ik om actie te ondernemen. Ik overwoog een operatie maar zag een beschrijving van de Thuasne Achillo. Letterlijk binnen een dag nam de zwelling aan de pees af, en binnen een aantal weken was het vrijwel pijnloos. Ik draag de bandage nu dik drie weken en overweeg er binnen een week mee stoppen. Opmerkelijk positief resultaat. Misschien dat ik mazzel had, maar als je net als tegen een vervelende peesblessure aanhikt dan zou ik toch aanraden om deze bandage te proberen voordat je grotere stappen onderneemt qua medicatie op operatie. Baadt het niet dan schaadt het niet, tenminste niet voor de prijs van iets meer dan 50 euro. Success.
