Do you have an injury to one or more fingers where firm stabilisation and rest are required? The Thuasne Ligaflex Finger is a mouldable immobilisation splint for the fingers, hand and wrist. The splint restricts movement of one or more long fingers while also supporting the hand and wrist. This allows the injured tissue to rest and helps prevent unwanted movements from unnecessarily interfering with recovery.
The Ligaflex Finger can be used for certain finger fractures, flexor or extensor tendon injuries and injuries to the metacarpal bones, depending on the diagnosis and treatment advice. The rigid, mouldable support can be individually adjusted to the desired position of the hand, wrist and fingers.
This finger splint is particularly suitable when a simple finger splint or buddy taping does not provide enough stability and additional support from the hand and wrist is required.
The mouldable support of the Ligaflex Finger can be positioned either palm-side or on the back of the hand. This allows the splint position to be adapted to the type of injury and the required immobilisation.
The splint has two fixed and two removable straps that can be used to adjust the support around the hand and wrist. The finger sleeve helps keep one or more injured fingers in position and protects them while the splint is being worn.
Because the support is mouldable, a doctor, therapist or other healthcare professional can adjust the position to the required alignment of the hand, wrist and fingers.

In the case of a fracture, tendon rupture, dislocation or serious finger injury, it is important to have the hand medically assessed first. The correct position and degree of immobilisation depend on the type of injury.
For some injuries, supporting only one finger is not enough. When movement from the hand or wrist also needs to be restricted, the Thuasne Ligaflex Finger provides more stability than a simple finger splint or buddy taping.
The splint can immobilise several fingers at the same time and helps restrict unwanted movement during recovery. This may be relevant, for example, in a stable finger fracture, metacarpal fracture or flexor or extensor tendon injury.

If you suspect a fracture, dislocation, tendon rupture or serious hand or finger injury, we always recommend seeking medical assessment first. Incorrect positioning or insufficient immobilisation may negatively affect recovery.
The Thuasne Ligaflex Finger splint is suitable for both the left and right hand and is available in four sizes.

Which splint is suitable if my finger needs to be completely immobilised?+
When an injured finger needs to move as little as possible, an immobilisation splint may be required. The Thuasne Ligaflex Finger stabilises one or more long fingers while also providing support from the hand and wrist. This allows the injured finger to be held more securely in the desired position than with a small standalone finger splint.
Can the Thuasne Ligaflex Finger be used for a broken or sprained finger?+
The Ligaflex Finger can be used for injuries to the long fingers, including sprains, dislocations and certain finger fractures. The splint can also be used for support after surgery. If a fracture or dislocation is suspected, it is important to have the finger medically assessed first. The splint is not suitable for unstable or displaced fractures.
Why does this finger splint also support the hand and wrist?+
For some finger injuries, supporting the finger alone is not sufficient. Movement from the hand and wrist can affect the position and loading of the injured finger. The Ligaflex Finger therefore also supports the hand and wrist, allowing one or more fingers to be immobilised more securely.
Which fingers is the Ligaflex Finger suitable for?+
The Ligaflex Finger is designed for the long fingers: the index finger, middle finger, ring finger and little finger. The mouldable support and adjustable straps allow the splint to be adapted to the fingers that need to be immobilised.
