The Reh4Mat Ankle Brace is a laced ankle brace with crossover figure-8 straps that provide support on the inside and outside of the ankle against spraining the ankle. In addition, there are 4 ribs on the inside and outside of the ankle brace, to stabilize the ankle joint. These ribs are removable (see pictures) so that you can choose different phases of support:
– Phase 1 (immediately after trauma); 4 ribs
– Phase 2 (2 weeks after trauma); remove 1 rib on both sides
– Phase 3 (>4 weeks after trauma); Remove all 4 ribs and use brace at your discretion

Determining the size of the Reh4Mat Ankle Brace
For the right size, measure the circumference of your heel-instep (see picture). Then you can read in the size chart below which size is suitable for you. If in doubt between two sizes, we recommend the smaller of the two.

Tips for wearing the Reh4Mat Ankle Brace!
You can wear the Reh4Mat Ankle Brace in phases. In the first phase you wear the ankle brace including the free ribs supplied (for more compression and stability). When the complaints have subsided, you can wear the ankle brace with one rib on either side and finally you can wear the ankle brace without the ribs.
It is better to close the Velcro straps after use. This keeps the fabric of the ankle brace beautiful for longer and the Velcro lasts longer.
Did you know that?! This ankle brace can be worn preventively when the rehabilitation period is over. This prevents another injury! After all, prevention is better than cure 🙂
