The Össur FormFit Tracker is a patella brace designed to support the patella (kneecap) to ensure proper tracking. This process is known as “realignment.” In simpler terms: it ensures the kneecap tracks correctly. The FormFit Tracker is made from thin neoprene material and features a silicone “reflex wing” on the inside. This applies mild pressure on the outer side of the kneecap, pushing it toward the center to reduce the likelihood of lateral luxation (dislocation of the kneecap). The inside of the brace also features a silicone pattern to prevent slipping. Lastly, the FormFit Tracker includes flexible hinges on both the inner and outer sides to provide support and stability to the knee joint.
Note: The straps of the FormFit Tracker are often slightly too long. You can remove the Velcro, shorten the strap, and reattach the Velcro. Do this only once you are sure you want to keep the product. Unsure? Feel free to contact us.
Indications for Wearing the Össur FormFit Tracker Patella Brace
- Pain at the front of the knee/kneecap
- Improper tracking of the patella/kneecap (patella malalignment)
- When you wish to support the kneecap in the “groove” of the knee (patella realignment)
- Patellofemoral pain syndrome
- Lateral (sub)luxation of the kneecap

How do you measure the Össur FormFit Tracker patella brace?
Take your measurements with a tape measure at two points as indicated below and select the correct size from the table.
– Upper leg circumference 15 cm above the center of the kneecap
– Lower leg circumference 15 cm below the center of the kneecap (often the widest point of the calf muscle)

Tips for the Össur FormFit Tracker patella brace
- The FormFit Tracker Patella Brace has very long straps. Remove the Velcro from the end of the straps and shorten the strap slightly. Then reattach the Velcro to the end of the strap. Note: only do this if you intend to keep the product.
- This patella brace may get wet and can also be worn in water.
- After removing the FormFit Tracker, always close the Velcro straps to help preserve the material.
