This thumb brace is used to stabilize the thumb. You use this for a rupture or strain of the ligament on the inside of the thumb (‘ski thumb’), arthrosis of the thumb (CMC1 arthrosis) or other disorders of the thumb.
Bauerfeind Rhizoloc – The ski thumb brace!
The RhizoLoc thumb orthosis features an individually adjustable aluminum bracket that stabilizes the thumb base and saddle joint. In this way, the respective ligaments can heal optimally. The movement limitation of the thumb base joint for immobilization can be adjusted via a special Velcro fastener.

How to measure
The Bauerfeind RhizoLoc is easy to measure yourself. To determine the correct size, you only need to measure your wrist and thumb circumference (see picture). Based on these sizes, you can determine the correct size in the table below. The Rhizoloc is available in a variant for the left and right side.
