Bauerfeind ManuLoc Rhizo Wrist Support

The Bauerfeind ManuLoc® Rhizo range has been developed for situations where both the wrist and the thumb base joint (CMC-1) require additional support. These braces combine stability with a high level of wearing comfort and are designed to limit painful or unstable movements while preserving as much functional use of the hand as possible. As you would expect from Bauerfeind, an anatomical fit and high-quality workmanship are central to the design.

Within the ManuLoc Rhizo range, you can choose from three different versions. The main differences lie in the level of support and the area that is stabilised.

ManuLoc Rhizo Wrist and Thumb Brace
This is the most compact version. The brace stabilises the wrist and positions the thumb in a resting position, while the fingers remain completely free. This allows for gripping and everyday hand movements to remain possible. Suitable for conditions such as thumb base osteoarthritis (rhizarthrosis), overuse complaints or mild instability of the wrist and thumb.

ManuLoc Rhizo Long Wrist and Thumb Brace
This version offers the same support for the wrist and thumb but features a longer fit along the forearm. As a result, the wrist receives additional stabilisation and overall support is increased. This can be beneficial in cases of more severe symptoms or when a shorter brace does not provide sufficient support.

ManuLoc Rhizo Long Plus Wrist and Thumb Brace
This is the most comprehensive version within the range. In addition to extended wrist and forearm support, this brace includes an extra, removable hand and finger splint. This allows the hand to be temporarily immobilised to a greater extent, for example during phases of increased pain. When more freedom of movement is desired, this component can easily be removed.

All versions are made from breathable, skin-friendly materials and feature adjustable hook-and-loop fastenings, allowing you to put on and adjust the brace independently. Size chart

You can use the size chart below to determine the correct Bauerfeind ManuLoc Rhizo size. Measure the circumference of your wrist at its narrowest point, just above the wrist joint. Compare this measurement with the table below and select the corresponding brace size. If you fall between two sizes, it is generally advisable to choose the larger size for greater wearing comfort.
