Össur Formfit® Pro Ankle: Ankle Brace with Targeted Compression
Do you suffer from an ankle sprain, strain, or instability and are looking for effective support? Wearing an ankle brace like the Össur Formfit® Pro Ankle can help support the ankle, reduce the risk of further injuries, and speed up recovery. This lightweight ankle brace not only provides support and stability but also contributes to the healing process through its unique combination of materials and technologies.
MotionTech™ Fabric for Optimal Compression and Comfort
The Össur Formfit® Pro Ankle is crafted with 3-D MotionTech™ fabric, an advanced material that provides dynamic compression to your ankle. The MotionTech™ fabric is certified for medical compression of 20-30 mmHg. This medical-grade compression effectively reduces swelling, improves blood circulation, and supports ligaments. Certification ensures that the brace has been tested and meets standards guaranteeing precise and consistent pressure for therapeutic effectiveness. Compression plays a vital role in treating ankle injuries, as it helps reduce swelling, enhances blood flow, and promotes proprioception. Proprioception, the body’s ability to sense joint position, is crucial for restoring stability and preventing new injuries.
Ankle Brace with CoolVent™ Technology for Breathability and Comfort
A common issue when wearing braces is comfort, especially during prolonged use. The Össur Formfit® Pro Ankle addresses this issue with the addition of CoolVent™ technology at the front of the ankle. This technology enhances breathability, helping to keep the skin cool and dry. The moisture-wicking properties of the fabric are highly effective, allowing users to experience lasting comfort even during intense activities or warm weather.
Targeted Ankle Support with Malleolus Cushions
Another feature of the Össur Formfit® Pro Ankle is the integrated malleolus cushions. These soft pads are strategically placed around the ankle bones (malleoli) to provide extra support and protection. This is particularly useful for individuals recovering from an injury, as it helps minimize impact on the ankle and prevents further damage.
For targeted support and cushioning, SmartPad™ elements can be added or removed for optimal comfort and confidence.
Easy On and Off with the FoldLock™ System
The patented FoldLock™ system features pull loops, folding lines, and grip patterns, making it easier to put on and take off, while ensuring a secure fit for all-day wear.
