The Foot-Up is a lightweight ankle-foot orthosis that provides dynamic lift and support for your drop foot (dropfoot) or similar complaints in which the foot lifter functions less effectively.
Össur Foot-up Drop Foot Support – Brace against a folding foot!
The Foot-Up folding foot orthosis can be used in the event of a slight failure of the foot-lifting muscles. With a Foot-up the walking pattern will improve considerably. Attaching the elastic to the forefoot ensures that your foot is pulled up during the swing phase while walking. This prevents tripping and stuck of the foot behind thresholds etc. The Foot-Up consists of an ankle bandage and comes standard with a shoe tongue plastic inlay that you place under the laces of your shoe (see image).

The distance at which you place the ‘plastic inlay’ accessory under the laces determines the degree of support. The further you place the plastic shoe tongue inlay from the ankle, the more correction the foot up will provide. The tensile force of the elastic ensures that your foot is pulled up.
Foot up drop foot shoeless bandage or extra plastic shoe inlay
The Foot-up orthosis comes standard with 1 inlay for between the laces. The Shoeless Bandage is available as an accessory for walking barefoot or with non-greasy shoes. It is also possible to order the shoe tongue plastic inlay extra so that you can place it in multiple shoes. This makes changing shoes a lot easier. If desired, you must order these accessories separately.

How to measure
To measure a Foot-up, you must measure your ankle size just above the ankle nodules. Then compare the size with the dimensions in the table below. If in doubt, it is better to order the larger bandage.

After my hip replacement, I experienced nerve damage in my foot. Walking with my foot-up is now much easier. Unfortunately, the footless bandage wears out quickly if you don’t wear slippers indoors.
