When the ‘tip’ (the extreme part of the finger) can no longer be stretched, the extensor tendon has most likely been torn or torn. This is called a Mallet Finger / Hammer Finger. This usually arises because the finger remains somewhere in between or the hard bumping of the finger.

Thuasne’s finger splint immobilizes the last joint. This ensures that the extensor tendon rests, can recover and that bone and tendon structures can grow back together. How do you measure the Thuasne Mallet Finger splint?

Measuring the size is a precise job , but you can do it yourself with the help of a centimeter.

You place the centimeter circularly around the last finger joint, at the thickest point of the tip of the finger. Place the tape measure tightly around the finger. You can then read the correct size in the table below. If you are in doubt between two sizes or have wide fingertips / joints, choose one size larger or order several sizes.
